MONROE EVENTS HELP CLEAN UP THE RIVER RAISIN

Monroe County Drain Commissioner Dan Stefanski spearheaded a number of river clean up events in 2008 with great success!! 

At different events throughout the year volunteers helped remove Flowering Rush from the Raisin and extracted truckloads of junk and debris.  Dan has created a website that details their activites and provides information and education to visitors!  Be sure to check out all the pictures!!!!!  You will be amazed at the amount of debris removed from the river!!! 

The River Raisin Watershed Council would like to say THANK YOU to all the partners and volunteers who donated their time and energy helping clean up our beautiful River Raisin!
