Eventos de adopción de un flujo
Adopta un flujose celebra cada primavera y otoño. Esta es su oportunidad de ayudar a recopilar datos valiosos sobre la salud de nuestra cuenca. Recolectamos macroinvertebrados (insectos que viven en el rÃo) de 16 sitios a lo largo de la cuenca.

Este evento se compone de 3 dÃas:
​
DÃa 1) DÃa de capacitación: aprende sobre el proyecto y cómo recopilarinsectos en el rÃo de forma segura.
DÃa2) DÃa de búsqueda de corrientes: ¡sal al rÃo y recoge algunos bichos!
DÃa 3)DÃa de identificación de insectos: observe de cerca los insectos que encontró en el rÃo y aprenda sobre los
salud de la corriente.

Volunteer Work Day: Help Plant a Rain Garden!

Location: Aden Mead Park, 211 S. Occidental, Tecumseh, MI
​
We need your help to plant a beautiful and beneficial rain garden at Aden Mead Park! Join us for an afternoon of hands-on conservation and make a real difference for our local watershed.
​
Come prepared to enjoy the afternoon sunshine while we work together to establish this important green space. Please wear weather-appropriate clothing, a hat, and sunglasses for sun protection, and bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.
We will provide all the necessary tools for planting!

Join Us for Macro-invertebrate Bug ID Day!

Date: Thursday, June 6th, 2025
Time: 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Location: LISD Center for a Sustainable Future (4260 Tipton Hwy, Adrian MI)

Come be a citizen scientist and help us sort through the fascinating world of aquatic macro-invertebrates (aka "bugs") collected during our spring sampling!
​
Volunteers will be working together to categorize these tiny creatures into groups. Dr. Kratz will be on hand to guide the process and confirm identifications, offering a fantastic opportunity to learn about these important indicators of water quality.
No prior experience is necessary!
This is a great chance to get hands-on with local ecology and contribute to valuable research.
Come and go as you are able! We understand everyone has busy schedules, so feel free to join us for any amount of time between 2 PM and 6 PM. Every bit of effort will be greatly appreciated!

What you'll be doing:

Sorting macro-invertebrates from our collected samples.

Learning about different types of aquatic insects and other invertebrates.

Potentially using microscopes for closer examination (optional).

Contributing valuable data to our watershed monitoring efforts.
