Looking to make a difference? Join us for hands-on volunteer opportunities that support the health of the River Raisin watershed.
Community Tree Planting ​
​
Join River Raisin Watershed Council and our community partners for two volunteer tree-planting events this October in Tecumseh and Adrian. These community plantings will add trees in areas identified as priorities for stormwater management, helping to intercept rainfall, reduce stormwater runoff, and provide lasting environmental benefits.
​
ReLeaf Michigan’s tree experts will be on hand at both events to show volunteers how to properly plant a tree, so no previous experience is necessary. Families are welcome! Please wear closed-toe shoes and bring a shovel, hard rake, and gloves if you have them. Both events will take place rain or shine.

Tecumseh Tree Planting
Saturday, October 3, 2026 | 8:45 AM–12:00 PM
Between 606 & 608 Hickory Ridge Dr., Tecumseh, MI 49286
Volunteers will help plant 25 trees in the Red Maple/Hickory Ridge Subdivision.

Adrian Tree Planting
Saturday, October 10, 2026 | 8:45 AM–12:00 PM
Stubnitz Environmental Education Center at Heritage Park
3221 N. Adrian Hwy., Adrian, MI 49221
Volunteers will help plant 40 trees throughout Heritage Park.
